I made this character development sculpt back in 1999 for what was then Black and White studios but has since become Lionhead Studios. They produced a computer game called Black and White which featured animal characters that changed personalities and physical attributes depending on how you played the game. It's paws might look a little strange but at that time the concept sketches didn't have five fingers.

I recently repaired this figure as it had been given quite a beating over the years! But it had been used as inspiration by quite a few people so that's good.

It was made using Sculpey, acrylic paints and goats hair! The tiny villagers on the base were adapted Citadel figurines.

UPDATE: If you want to see some amazing animations from Black and White 2 then go to [link] then Tak/ Black and White 2. Wonderful work there!

Amazing :O

But why only 3 "hand"claws?

=^.^=
Ah, yes...well, I was working from sketches provided by the concept designer and at that time the beast didn't have five fingers but more of a lion paw type of hand. Ultimately the final creatures did have a more human hand! =p
Very awesome and simply badass.

Badass or superfly is always the best way to be! Thankyou!
Oh wow that's absolutely gorgeous.

I adore the detail you put into the fur, and the expression on the lion's face is simply stunning.
