Artist's Comments

In 2003 I was displaying some of my cardboard style work in a local gallery. Somebody saw these pieces and then approached me to ask if I would like to do some display heads/ busts for an optician shop in Dorset....and this is the result! They are life size and obviously the need to be able to change the glasses often had to be taken into consideration. They are made completely from cardboard.

Wow, that's a wonderful production! What an interesting medium for sculpture. Excellent work.

Excellent.
Thanks! Yep....just cardboard. Have a go yourself!
haha. If only. Dare to dream. lol
Thanks! Your sculpting/silcone work is great. There was a time when I really wanted to do more of that.....I used to go and visit Ron Mueck before he became an 'artist' and be totally inspired and influenced by his work.....ah...those were the days!
Cool!

How do you know him then. From the days when he worked at Henson's or when he was doing advertising work?

He's a lucky SOB to have had saatchi get behind him. But, chances are what you make of them.
